Reasons Why The New Testament Is Not False.
I was visiting a friend of mine the other day, he claimed to know Christ, however also claimed to me that the New Testament was partially false. His argument was this:
"I find that the New Testament in the Christian Bible is partially inaccurate because those who wrote the books of the New Testament were human men."
What people fail to realize is that the men who wrote the New Testament were the men who walked with Christ during his lifetime of teachings. I'm not talking about Joseph Smith... I'm talking about Jesus' chosen disciples: Matthew, Peter, Paul, John, James, Mark, and Jude. (Nobody knows who wrote Hebrews, but it could quite possibly Apollos, an apologetic in the times of Christs teachings). Apollos is found in the Book of Acts (chapter 18 verse 24 - 25) and also in the book of 1st Corinthians (chapter 3 verses 4 and 6)
Now allow me to ask you a question. Lets say you wanted to know everything there was to know about Barrack Obama. If Michelle Obama and John Kerry came up to you and told you about the past history of Barrack Obama, and they both had a different story, who would you believe would be most accurate in their information?
The SMART person would say "Michelle Obama". Why? Well considering her experience and time spent with the man IN PERSON, and considering her marriage to Barrack throughout the years, you would clearly recognize her as someone who first hand experienced his life.
The same goes for the Disciples. You see, i must believe the truth of the books in the New Testament, because the words and scriptures of those marvelous books were written by the same people who experienced FIRST HAND the life, and teachings of Jesus Christ. (except for Luke)
But how accurate are those teachings? Haven't the books of the Bible been copied over and over by people in the past!?
YES. My answer would have to be YES. However let us take into consideration positive and undeniable proof. After all, that IS what you were looking for right? Something you can study? Something you can feel, and see, and touch? Then perhaps you should take into consideration this:
Today there exist manuscripts and teachings in museums all over the world, some older than others, that are COMPLETELY accurate in accordance with the New Testament teachings. That's right! Thousands of years have gone by, and yet the words have not changed, not even one letter, not even one word, not even one punctuation mark (not including Greek, which has no markings of punctuation). If the manuscripts DID differ in any way to other reliable manuscripts, then it was the OLDEST manuscripts that were taken into consideration FIRST! NOT the words and political views of mankind.
But aren't the books written in different languages? How can one language mean the same as another? Allow me to demonstrate still the effectiveness of these books. To date, there are 5,700 + manuscripts and portions in the New Testament written in Greek. Another 10,000 + copies in Latin Vulgate. Another 10 - 15,000 versions in other languages, plus ancient Papyri and EVEN EARLIER uncial manuscripts written in the past that STILL TO THIS DAY are not at all in any way, shape, or form different than the words in the Christian Bible (except for those manuscripts that were replaced by older more prominent manuscripts). Not one word has changed! Its all 'essentially' the same. Same meaning, same reference.
There have been many sceptics however that wanted to prove this wrong. However, Individuals whom have practiced the evidence of law and theory, such as Hugo Grotius (father of international law), Professor Simon Greenleaf (Harvard Law Professor and the greatest authority in English and American law evidence), Edmund H. Bennett (Dean of Boston University of Law), and Erwin Linton (whom represented cases of the Bible to the United States Supreme Court), have studied the undeniable evidence of the truth of the gospel, and proven their accuracy without question. (Not just the New Testament, but also the Old Testament as well!)
Note that the consistency of scholarly, factual reversals of the negative conclusions of even HIGHER criticism, undermine the method's foundations and credibility, and Legal testimony and reliability have been established.
Not satisfied yet!? HAHAHA! I thought you wouldn't be. Then let it be known, that detailed archaeological facts found today (and seen on the History Channel) also prove that MANY of the facts mentioned in the New Testament have been proven also accurate.
Note that some Jewish and Islamic passages also have references to the Bible today!
Note that because thousands of years of Biblical study from people all over the world, who have written letters to churches BASED ON BIBLICAL NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURE, have written SO MANY letters all over the world, that even if human beings were to destroy every Bible in the universe, we could take all of the old letters from previous church officials and RE-CREATE the ENTIRE New Testament except for about 11 'verses'.
Note that it has been thousands of years since the New Testament has been established, and yet nobody has indefinitely proven that its words and scriptures were false. Think about it. We live for only 80 or 90 years. But the Bible has been around for thousands of years. You mean to tell me that out of all of the people who do not believe in the Bible, not one person has tried to undeniably prove it wrong? THOUSANDS OF YEARS! Christianity is not a friend of this world, and yet not even one person has proven the Bible inaccurate. Certainly if someone found some falseness in the bible, SURELY they would have made it PRIORITY #1 to continue to pass along their discoveries. But they never have.
And lastly, this which breaks my heart most of all, are those who say they love Christ, but cannot believe in the total accuracy of the Bible. I must ask one more question, why did God wish the Bible to be presented? To pass on his law? To show the world how they can be saved from their sins? If you believe these answers to be true, then how can you believe the same God would allow sinful human beings to defile and corrupt the passages? If God wanted you to know something, he would LET YOU KNOW. And if God wants you to know his word, then he would keep his word from corruption. This includes keeping the sins of man from tainting the word.
IF ANYONE READS THIS, AND STILL HAS TROUBLE BELIEVING THE ACCURACY OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, THEN HEAR ME OUT!
I DARE YOU TO PROVE ME WRONG! LOOK IT UP! GET A BIBLE, AND LOOK IT UP! FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF! STUDY! EXAMINE THE PROS AND CONS! BE LIKE A LAWYER, WHO WOULD LOOK AT EVERY LAST SHRED OF EVIDENCE, and THEN SEE WHO IS RIGHT. Instead of proving it wrong, i am more than certain you will find in its replace a sense of peace, and love, and joy, and most importantly, your eternal salvation!

(20) Above all you must understand that NO PROPHECY OF SCRIPTURE CAME ABOUT BY THE PROPHETS OWN INTERPRETATION. (21) For PROPHECY NEVER HAD ITS ORIGIN IN THE WILL OF MAN, BUT MEN SPOKE FROM GOD AS THEY WERE CARRIED ALONG BY THE HOLY SPIRIT."
